Corita Kent: Enriched Bread Tea Towel

$ 32.00

Corita Kent, a nun, artist, and educator who worked in Los Angeles and Boston, helped to establish silk-screen printing as both a fine art and a medium of communication. She produced many banners with messages of peace, and designed the familiar annual “Love” stamp of the US Postal Service. Frequently excerpting sections of advertisements, she incorporated elements of collage into the Pop art idiom, and this limited-edition tea towel, with its bright colors, lively dots, and the words “ENRICHED BREAD,” makes for an upbeat, appealing kitchen accessory.
