A set of postcards based on the book ‘In the Wilds’ (2011) by artist Nigel Peake, a collection of his hand-drawn observations of rural life. From the trees, fields, lakes, and rolling hills that define the country landscape, to the farmhouses, tractors, fences, and telegraph poles that build on it, Peake’s detailed pencil and ink drawings and beautifully muted watercolours capture the slow-moving rhythm of his surroundings. In a time when everyone seems to be seeking relief from the fast pace of everyday life, these postcards offer an escape to a countryside as timeless as it is idyllic.
